It is at least a half size too large; possibly an entire size too large. The shoe literally flops around on my foot when I walk. I am a size 10 and have never had a shoe that was this large. Too bad Amazon won't honor the price I bought them at (wonderful sale price) for an exchange in size. I should have ordered two different sizes and simply returned the one that didn't fit. Lesson learned. I love Arche shoes though. The suede is gorgeous.

But I must say that the size is at least half size bigger than interpreted. A 5.5 should be US. size 8 instead of 7.5. So if you want a U.S. size 7.5, you might be better off to order a size 5.
Half-size too big, March 29, 2011 This review is from: Arche Women's Cosyba Sneaker (Apparel) Such a cute shoe but alas half-a-size too large. Bought the 7 thinking that it would be fine since I sometimes wear 7.5 if the show is narrow. Arche shoes mostly are narrow and I thought 37 would be fine since it's a little big. But no, it didn't work out. Wanting to try 6.5 but hesitant that they'll be too tight and the cost of return shipping will go down the drain.. I wish Amazon puts the actual measurements of the shoe so it'll be a guide to whether the shoe will be larger or smaller than the regular sizes. Hope this helps someone with their decision.
