Feet hurt after high-impact workouts, March 10, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ryka Women's Transition Cross Training Shoe (Apparel) I bought these shoes after reading that they were good for Zumba, which I do three times a week. I tried them for a couple weeks worth of classes, then switched back to my Nike Air Pegasus, which are clunky and too thick-soled, but it's better than non-cushioned! This shoe is flexible and allows for sudden turns, but when you're jumping up and down in Zumba, your feet quickly start to hurt (or at least mine do). The padding inside the shoe is simply insufficient. Since I wore them for quite a while, it's obviously not a breaking-in issue. This would be a fine shoe for something low-impact that required agility. The look is alright, though I noticed as soon as I took them out of the box that the material gives off a 'cheap' vibe.

I had never heard of Ryka before, but found these and decided to take a chance. I'm not sure I'll ever buy another brand - they are that comfortable. Best sneaker I have ever put on.

My feet had blisters, and my left hip and right knee were telling me I was out of alignment. I went into DSW Shoes in the mall and bought these sneakers. I paid $64.95 and there is no sales tax in MN.
The arch support for me hit right in the exact spot needed. Within minutes, my feet were feeling less pain. Within hours, my hip and knee pain lessened. I came home from the trip and took a walk the next day in these sneakers and I LOVE THEM!
As for sizing, I normally take a size 8 sneaker and for this one, I needed a size 8 1/2 so they do run a little small.
Now that I know the size I need in this sneaker, I see I can purchase them cheaper on Amazon ahead of time next time!
