As a result, I usually wear brands like Dansko, Rieker, and Merrell, if that helps. I also wear a lot of Tsubo shoes, because every pair I have had are like walking on well-structured clouds. One thing to note is that their shoes always run small. I wear a 9.5 and in this brand always buy a 10.
Onto the Noma itself. It's a fun, funky shoe, with the structure and support and quality materials familiar to Tsubo. It has a removable insole, which is great if you have orthotics. There are a few things to note:
1. On the inner part of the shoe, there are these cool leather strips. However, these cool leather strips are open (you can poke your fingers through them), and thus render the shoes non-waterproof.
2. The inside has this neat netting and neoprene-like inner lining. This extends all the way to the toe and is attached to the leather. This means that the leather isn't going to stretch. If it's too tight now, don't... Read more
This is a keeper, November 19, 2011 By This review is from: TSUBO Women's Noma Fashion Sneaker (Apparel) I love this shoe. I find it true to size and width, and it is extremely comfortable. The medium gray color is a good neutral shade--a nice alternative to black, and is very soft leather. I wasn't sure I was going to like the high rise around the ankle, but it is good looking, and I find it both supportive and surprisingly non-binding. My only complaint is that because of the way the shoe is constructed, there is not a lot of flexibility in the opening, and it is fairly narrow, making it somewhat difficult to put on. My relatively high instep doesn't help, but, because of this, I am unable to wear it with thick socks as I wouldn't be able to get my heel inside the boot. I don't know whether 1/2 size larger would help, because otherwise it fits very well. It is also a nice update to my boot wardrobe.
