Incredibly Comfy & Smells Like Bubble Gum :), June 2, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Vivienne Westwood by Melissa Women's 30548 Ballerina II Flat (Apparel) I love these shoes! They're really comfy right out of the box -- no breaking in needed, none of that usual rite of passage stuff with blistering up your heel for weeks before your flats finally start to mold to your feet. What's more, they even smell like bubble gum :) most likely because the shoes are made of rubber and probably smelled bad after production, but oh, it's nice to walk around and have a whiff of bubble gum rise up from your feet than a stink.
I searched online a bit and many people recommended that if you are in between sizes, size down. For instance, if you're an 8.5 like me, buy an 8 instead of a 9. Personally, this advice was perfect -- the shoes are a perfect fit (albeit with some toe cleavage; the cut of the toe box is a bit low), but know that all feet are different so this might not work for you as it did for me.

I cannot wait for summer just so I can wear these. They're incredibly comfortable right out of the box. As the previous review states, the heel is comfortable and there is no break-in period. The bottom of the shoe is surprisingly cushy considering these are rubber and a flat.
In hot weather, I'm not sure about the sweat factor...It could be a problem, but only time will tell.
As for sizing, I and an 8.5 in every shoe I own and I ordered these in an 8. Since they are only whole sizes, I highly recommend ordering down.
