The leather is very soft and breathable and it's well made. The braiding is not as ugly as I was worried it might be. There is toe cleavage happening, which is not my favorite thing. The other thing is that the shoe squeaks a lot when wearing it without stockings, not a problem I've had with other shoes, seems to have to do with the material the lining is made from; it's not doing it as badly after wearing it for the last several months, but it took a long time (I bought them in March) and I still notice it occasionally.
