2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Bloch Closed Toe Standard Heels, October 26, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bloch Women's Simona Ballroom Shoe (Apparel) Just got them yesterday and wore them to 2 hours of practice - they were pretty comfortable and did not result in any breaking-in-blisters! My feet are fairly wide and Capezio and Freed of London aren't very comfortable for me. I went half a size up (I'm usually an 7.5-8) and ordered the 8.5 in medium width and it's working out to be a very good fit - the ankle/heel area fits snugly (important for heel turns) and the toe box is just a little tight for the widest part of my feet, but isn't blister-inducing. It's well constructed, the stitching doesn't irritate, the straps don't dig in, and the suede sole is of good quality. Great basic closed toe ballroom shoes, and much cheaper compared to Freed. I would definitely get them again when this pair wears out.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Worth the Money!, October 11, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bloch Women's Simona Ballroom Shoe (Apparel) I recently decided to learn ballroom dancing for exercise (and the fun, of course). I wanted to get a nice pair of shoes, because I didn't want learning to dance to be painful. I also learned from a friend that close-toed shoes are a must for beginners, because some of the more strappy sandals actually stretch over time and cause your toes to come out over the front of the shoes. These Bloch shoes actually exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any pain or redness after about 45 minutes of practicing. I am sure I could have danced even longer, because these shoes are so comfortable. They are adjustable for a good individual fit, and the heel is just the right height. I had Googled name brands and Bloch got very high reviews.I also highly recommend these shoes! Get some and get moving!
