In loooooooove, October 12, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: FRYE Women's Miranda Slouch Boot (Apparel) I do not own a mid calf boot because I'm petite and these types of boots will just make me look shorter. But this Fall season, for some odd reason, I really really wanted to try a brown pair to layer with gray socks.
I'm very glad that I did. I LOVE these boots. Yes these boots may look a little off on me in a skirt/or a short length bottom since it hits above the bottom of my calf but with jeans or paired with long slouch socks in a short length bottom, they're awesome.
I am usually a 5 or 5.5, ordered a 5.5 and it works great with my thin socks. The circumference is also great, not huge like most other ones, just perfect to get my feet in and out.
Comfort: I walked around in them at work one day and they were just fine. I may not be able to do a 3 hour constant walk in them but show me a pair of shoes with heels that you can! They are comfortable enough that I'd wear them all the time.

Zappos refused to ship them. I ordered them from Piperlime and also Frye's directly and they came covered with a white waxy substance so I had to return them. Amazon's came in fine condition. They are really cute. I can wear them with jeans and they look good. I can also wear them dressed up with a skirt or dress. I usually like flats better but these are pretty comfortable, even with the heel. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I am not that comfortable in them since I don't like heels much. But I like these.

But Fryes with high heels are a new experience for me, and these surpassed expectations. They are very comfortable, beautifully made and with a very sexy cut that accentuates the calves. Many compliments! I'd suggest going up a half size larger than customary (I had to exchange them).
